2006 Chevrolet Uplander

Not many changes were made to the 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, the biggest change for the minivan was the introduction of the optional LZ9 3.9L V-6 with 240HP and 240FTLB of torque for buyers to choose.

The new 3.9L V-6 was available on all models except the All-Wheel-Drive-capable model. The LZ9 engine achieves an EPA-estimated 18mpg city and 25mpg highway, making it one of the most efficient V-6 engines while also being one of the most powerful.

The 2006 Chevrolet Uplander earned the highest ranking for safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the offset frontal crash rating test. The design of the Uplander resembles that of most modern “crossover” vehicles, due in part to the elongated frontal section.
